Beijing

From Summer 2016 to Winter 2018 I lived in Beijing, China. This piece shows a narrow alley called Nanluoguxiang. It is a long stretch of traditional Beijing architecture called hutongs, which consist of one or two storey structures, both commerical and residential. The hutongs are characterized by winding alleyways and communal living quarters. Nanluoguxiang is located north of the Forbidden City Palace Museum near the centre of Beijing.
